Blogging what it all about

Blogging when it first started, it was intended as a space on the Internet for people to use as a diary or a personal Phone to show off their style of photos or artwork, or just for a place to write their thoughts and feelings they had maybe problems or just a general update members of their family.

Nowadays there are a lot of websites adverts saying that they have the answer to financial problems, for instance old semantic blogging software.
Which is designed to save you writing out or up dating your posts,this is a little bit like cheating to my mind.
It seems a little bit like direct copying from other peoples articles or blogs and posting them to your own.
Then there on a great many this other methods at advertised for blocking, which usually are in the form of a book which can be downloaded at a cost.

Please explain the virtues of using your blog for advertising on affiliate links, or products that you may have yourself, they also suggest that you use Asense from Google all of this designed to burn you extra money.
Although I have done some of these methods within my own blog, I have yet to earn any money whatsoever, but this may be because you're supposed to own your own blog with your own domain name in order to gain profit from blogging.
