Not Diary Really

Not a Diary Really
I’ve never been one for keeping a day by day diary, though I know lots of people do, I think if I did it would be too dull & boring !!
So what I thought I would do in stead of that, would be a journal, more of a life story account

I was born June the 3rd 1948, which means I will be the Big 60 !! Next year, Wow that went quickly, it seems that when you are young, you can't wait to grow up, and then you spend the rest of your life, wishing you were young again !

I was born and lived in a house on Medlicott Rod, Sparkbrook, Birmingham, many happy memories associated with that place, Lots and lots of birthday's for a start
The only grandparent I remember, was my Gran, who's temper was on the hot side, were as my own mom was a much more plastid and happier person, I always got on well with her, better than my dad, who could be a bit of a perfectionist

I have one sister, and two brothers, I wont tell you their ages, but just to say I have one older brother, one younger, and a sister who is slightly older than me, she probably wont like me writing this, my brothers and I always watched out for her when she was younger
My mom didn't like going on holiday's and taking me, as I was a skinny youth, she used to say I must have lived on fresh air, and she could count my ribs.
All the holidays we did go on were in the U.K, places like Devon, Tenmouth and alike, always in September, as my dad proffered a later time for them

Sadly they passed away somtime ago, and the house I grew up in was sold, so there is no longer that meeting place for my brothers or sister

How to stay married for 25 years ?
Yes in June of this year we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary ..........
Well firstly, let me say, the time went whizzing past, I couldn't believe that it was 25 years ago when we got married
So what's the secret ?
Nothing to earth shattering, just taking each day as it comes, good or bad, but always saying sorry before bedtime, even if I had nothing to apologise for, kiss and make up 9the best part of having a disagreement)
That's it really, apart from discovering new things out about your partner, which helps to keep the marriage alive
Also enjoying things together, it's good to laugh, even if it is at yourself, As laughter is a Great medicine
